Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus is the first game in the Sly Cooper series. It was developed by Sucker Punch and released for the PlayStation 2 on September 24, 2002.[1]
Engine
The engine for Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus is called P2. It is based on PE (Physics Engine), the engine developed for Sucker Punch's first game, Rocket: Robot on Wheels. The naming convention would continue with Sly 2: Band of Thieves and Sly 3: Honor Among Thieves, with the engine for those games being P3 and P4, respectively.
