Use this template when an unsourced statement needs a citation. Pages tagged with this template are added to Category:Articles with unsourced statements.

The following parameters are optional.

reason - A reason that the statement needs a citation. Appears when you hover over the template link text.
nocat=y - Avoids adding the page to the unsourced statements category.
